See a 900 Foot Rainbow This Saturday - 4/5, 9am
Hi there,
This Saturday from 9am on we will be finishing up our addition to the River of Pride Flag by adding 600 feet to the already 300 feet you may have seen in the pass two years' Prides. Each year we add to the flag to make more room for everyone, to have a place to march and show their pride, who may not have a group to walk with.We plan on bringing it to Boston this year as well as Portland Pride.
We will be at the Portland Club off State Street and can always use more people to help.
Here are two links from YouTube of the flag, pride and the fun we had:

Maine LGBTI Health Summit - Thursday, 5/29, 8am
In Healthy Maine 2010: Opportunities for All, sexual orientation and sexual minority status are factors that can lead to health disparities. These health disparities are intensified by a lack of population based data on the LGBTI community resulting in a scarcity of information on the health of LGBTI Mainers.
Through a variety of work sessions the summit will provide an opportunity for state and local health officials, members of the LGBTI community, community advocates, and state policy makers to meet and strategize ways to increase awareness of health disparities and the collection of health data on the LGBTI community as well as increase self advocacy in consumers.
